HotMacApps Review
Not long ago we reviewed Minute commander for iPhone and iPod touch. Now with the Mac version out it is much easier to play on a bigger screen. Before it seemed to cramped and was hard to view the whole map and get a good idea of where your enemies were. Essentially its the same game exactly just on your Mac. Its a multiplayer game of battleships pretty much, you have a one minute turn, hence the name minute commander. In this one minute you have to arrange your fleets position and take fire upon your enemies.
Minute Commander Mac edition has a great new featured called Joypad. It allows you to control your fleet from your iPhone or iPod wirelessly to a bigger screen, ie. your computer monitor, with up to four wireless players. To activate this feature all the devices will have to download the Joypad application from the app store for free. Minute Commander is primarily made to be a multiplayer game, for you and your friends to sit around and all play together. But if you find yourself playing alone, I find the game is not as fast paced as I would like, everything seems to happen a bit to slow. Overall its a great multiplayer game now with the Joypad integration that really makes it unique. However its not the game I would choose to play alone on an airplane or long road trip.
